ASHRAE
From Swikipedia
Introduction
The American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) based in Atlanta, USA, advances technology to serve humanity and promote a sustainable world through research, standards writing, publishing and continuing education. Through its membership, ASHRAE writes standards that set uniform methods of testing and rating equipment and establish accepted practices for the HVAC&R industry worldwide, such as the design of energy efficient buildings.
ASHRAE develops standards for both its members and others professionally concerned with refrigeration processes and the design and maintenance of indoor environments.
The ASHRAE also has a publication called ‘GreenGuide’, which provides guidance to designers of HVAC&R systems in how to participate effectively on design teams charged with producing green buildings.
