Infill Sites
From Swikipedia
Introduction
Infill is a material that fills in an otherwise unoccupied space. The term is commonly used in association with construction techniques such as wattle and daub, and civil engineering activities such as land reclamation. Thus, in context of the building terminology, an infill site can be described as a building site which is sandwiched between existing buildings in a developed area. The use of infill sites reduces pressure on Greenfield sites and often provides residents with better access to public transportation. According to LEED standards, an infill site is defined as having at least 75% of its perimeter bordering land that has been previously developed.
